After we have made a clinical diagnosis of rosacea and determined its severity, a local treatment, a cream, is applied to mild rosacea. If this is not sufficient, a parallel therapy with antibiotics will be administered. In very severe cases we use isotretinoin (e.g. known under the trade name Roacutane®️). For selected clinical conditions, we recommend accompanying rosacea therapy with peelings, high-energy blue light or Intense pulsed light (IPL).

The clinical examination may include pathological-histological examinations. Treatment starts with a steroid cream for smaller areas and continues with a non-steroidal cream. In the case of larger areas, we treat in house with a UVB lamp and we accompany the therapy with the appropriate medical advice. If necessary, we clarify possible allergies with an epicutaneous test. We treat hand and foot eczema in house with a special UVA lamp.
