Fees Dermatology
StatenClinic's fees (in Dutch language only, please accept our apologies) for all medical consultations and dermatological treatment, which we will invoice directly to the patients (in The Netherlands they are usually called 'Passantentarife').
For all consultations and treatments we will ask you to pay the total amount of your invoice within the given time limit, once you have received the invoice. You can submit the invoice for reimbursement to your health insurance company. If you need information about the amount, which will be reimbursed, we kindly ask you to contact your health insurance company.
Please be reminded that Dutch health care insurers (“zorgverzekeraars”) insist on a referral issued by your general practitioner (“huisarts”). If you are unfamiliar with the dutch health care system in general, feel free to have a look at the pages published by ACCESS.
In some cases we hear from patients that the "zorverzekeraar" refuses to pay anything at all. This behaviour does not comply with the law. In all cases, Dutch health care providers ("zorgverzekeraars") have to pay at least something. This applies also to to invoices which you receive from StatenClinic, despite the fact that we are not concluding contracts with health care providers, intentionally. Fees for dermato-cosmetics, normally not covered by health care providers
Prices for medical-cosmetic services and care products. We kindly ask you to pay the products and services from this price list on site in cash or by 'PIN pas', (we do not accept debit/credit cards). This also applies if you purchase a package consisting of several treatments. With such a package, the treatments are cheaper than individually. In this case, you would pay in advance for the treatments that take place after the first treatment. Thank you for your understanding.
Note on the price list for medical-cosmetic services: In individual cases, the prices for treatments in medical cosmetics may be higher or lower, depending on the effort involved. To be on the safe side, don't hesitate to ask for an offer during the intake.
No-Shows
In the past, we have observed that the ratio of patients who are not showing up on their appointment, is increasing. This is very unpleasant, because we have blocked the doctor and/or the assistant for that time slot, which is a minimum of 30 minutes for the first visit in our practice, compared to 5 to 10 minutes which you find in other institutions. During this gap we cannot treat other patients. Apart from the fact that this will increase our unit costs, at a certain time, it also increases the period during which others have to wait until they can be allocated an appointment with us. Related to this, please be kindly reminded that if you arrive later than agreed, we don't have sufficient time for your case anymore. This means that you have to wait until there is a free space in the schedule. As a matter of principle, we strive for any patient with an appointment not to have to wait more than 15 minutes.
We will charge you a € 60,- no-show fee. We hope for your understanding and that we don't have to apply it at all (e.g. by you informing us about your inability to keep the appointment a working day in advance).
Handling of invoices
Normally do the invoice handling within our own bookkeeping department. In case of non-payment we hand over the file to a debt collecting agency.
