The name of our clinic for dermatology has been derived from the "Statenkwartier", a neighbourhood in The Hague, Scheveningen. It was built between 1890 and 1915 and has its name from the assembly of the "staten", governing the ancient holland during the 17th and 18th century.

Today, many expats are living here. Several international organizations are located in the area: Yugoslavia Tribunal, OPCW, Europol and coming soon: Eurojust. The "Statenkwartier" is famous for its many "Jugendstil" buildings. The house in which our clinic is located is worth looking at, even under architectural aspects.

The ensemble of the two buildings where StatenClinic is located is called the "House with the two Towers". The designer of our logo, Annika Heftrich, got inspired by its shape. The name “Statenkliniek“ is a registered trademark of “Stichting Statenkliniek“ in The Hague.
